Albums

The discography of the American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, and a number of compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists as well as on soundtracks for films. The group has won a number of Grammy Awards for their work.

Before Toto was formed The members of the band did sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs' 1975 album Silk Degrees. The collaboration led to the formation of Toto in 1976.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics due to the absence of hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Frederiksen quit the group The group held auditions for the new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their 1986 album Fahrenheit.

During the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun, drummer Leland Sklar quit the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live album titled Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the band.
